Botox (Botulinum toxin) blocks nerve impulse transmission between neurons and muscles which in turn decreases muscular contraction.
Wrinkles appear as a result of constant muscle contraction. Botox (Botulinum toxin) injections relax the muscles of the treated area. Wrinkles become less apparent and a natural aspect is preserved.
